Sex, Love and Romance is a web art work based on the relationship between men and women. It tells the hopes, affections, delusions, misunderstandings of love and what goes through, lightens, resists to it. Different moments and points of view. Irony and passion. Memories and expectations. Emotions and fears. Men and women alike, we all lived through them, some time or other.
Together with drawings, animations and some photos, words play an important part in Sex, Love and Romance: poems, songs, psalms, texts mostly written by men, because everyone's idea of love is based on what they have been saying since the beginning of time. And some written by me (even some translations, which are far from perfect, I suspect). All kind of materials, elaborated and recycled by memory and life. Most images are taken from a series of artist books, a sort of intermittent diary, but I work with everything... Sometimes I hide a new hypertext under an image. I write my own html and keep it simple, because I want my site to be of easy access. This is a creative choice, too.
The first part of Sex, Love and Romance is ready now, I plan to complete my research by the end of 2000. But I already know that from time to time I'll get new ideas, it can't be avoided, given the subject!
