Interior decorator's tips: sirens live in the sea , are beautiful and sing to attract seamen. To make them happy, you can keep them near water (swimming pool, shower, bathroom, umbrella stand... if the place where you live is rainy enough), surrounded by music (the loudspeakers of a stereo set, for instance), on a ship...

(from the press release of the 2000 Turin exhibition The world of Mermaids)
The artist has chosen a theme, Sea and Mermaids, allowing her to tell a lot of different stories, to use different techniques, rhythms and styles.
Carla DellaBeffa takes us into the depth of the seas, moving from oil paintings to a veil sculpture, from sequences of images and words to an amusing floor installation. She creates a world swimming with ideas and Sirens. A magical, colorful journey into the secrets of the ocean. With plenty of humour.
