Carla DellaBeffa

I live and work in Milano and in Paris. After art college and a brilliant career on the creative side of advertising I decided to become first a painter and later a video and new media artist.
In 2007 I launched and I'm currently working in Paris on a cultural and inter-disciplinary project about French author and scientist François Rabelais and his hero Gargantua. In this artistic and pedagogic project, twelve-years old children and their teachers follow a series of lessons and lectures and visit museums in order to be able to understand, read and play two chapters of the 16th century text, somewhat actualised, but always respecting the basic rules of ancient phonetics and the author's humour. The video and a documentary of the experience will be ready by September 2008.
